We encourage our students to be bold and confident in everything they do. One way that we help to instill this principle in their lives is to use them at every available opportunity for public speaking. Those opportunities include school assemblies, kid's church and youth group, street ministry, devotions for the MCA class and more.
One area of public speaking that we focus on is the Sermon assignment. After you have been taught how to speak with confidence and how to build a sermon, you as a student, would be required to write a sermon to preach in front of your peers as part of your school year. Although this may sound intimidating, once you step over that hurdle of getting up and taking the initial dive, speaking in front of a group is no harder or more intimidating than getting out of bed in the morning.
