A: Masters Commission is a hands on discipleship training ground that provides a balanced growth environment to develop and equip the whole person. More than a program, Masters Commission is a lifestyle of total commitment for Christians on all levels. We believe teaching Godly disciplines will provide direction during the most critical times of a person's life. The Holy Spirit is given complete freedom to transform you as a student into the image of the Master over the course of the nine month discipleship training.
A: The tuition amount for a first year in MCA changes from year to year. This year first year tuition is $7,950.00. Our tuition rates are very competitive compared to a traditional college or even other discipleship programs when you break it down and look into what you are actually paying for. Included in the tuition is a food and gas allowance for the duration of the nine month period, curriculum and study supplies, all housing and utilities, trips to the Annual Masters Commission Conference in Phoenix Arizona, a three week trip to Israel and countless other details. We always work very hard to keep the tuition amount the lowest it could possibly be while still offering you the most we can give you. We understand how such a high dollar amount can be intimidating, but there are several practical things you can do to raise support. Writing support letters to friends, family and church members has always been the number one way for raising tuition support. Its also important, especially if you have a year or so until you would be joining us to open a savings account and put every spare penny aside. I won't lie, it is hard work, but it's worth it. EVERY TIME. If God orders something, he will pay for it, and if he has called you to join us here, the money will be there for you when you need it. Our staff is also available for any questions or concerns you may have regarding this issue. Please give us a call at our offices (269) 926-6505.
A: Take a second to think about your life. What do you love? What interests you? What do you want to accomplish in 20 years? Regardless of whether you seek to be a minister, be in the military, go into the medical field, or be a stay at home mom or a janitor, there is always a desire and a need to succeed. But what is success? How do I succeed? How do I fulfill my dreams? There is only one way to measure true success. It's not the empire you build, the kids you have or being rich and making your first million dollars. Real success comes when our Father says "Well done, my good and faithful servant." Whether you like it or not you have been called to something higher than just making money or just having an amazing career and this calling is irrefutable. You are commanded in the bible to preach the gospel to all creatures, whatever you do with your life. This is how God will measure your success, in how you affect the lives around you. At Masters Commission Alliance we strive to provide you with the training you need to really succeed. Regardless of what you pursue in life, you will preach the gospel with your life. MCA IS for you... God is waiting to use you.
A: The "no dating" rule in Masters Commission is one of the most well known and misunderstood rules we have. Some people have the idea that Masters Commission is agains relationships and would like you to remain alone in misery for the rest of your life. Of course that isn't true. We only ask that the first year disciples refrain from dating for this reason, when you come in as a first year student, you sign a covenant with God stating that you are going to give your all to Him and Him alone. That includes your time, attention, attitudes and devotion. Obviously this would be very hard to do while in the middle of a relationship, especially a serious one. Thus, the infamous rule. We aren't trying to ruin your life, but protect the covenant you make with God. Second and third year interns are allowed and even encouraged to date under the right circumstances.
A: Our program includes a very broad range of learning and ministry opportunities. Including but not limited to, Bible and Book reports, scripture memory, Berean School of the Bible (available at additional cost), sermon preparation, Y-partners, acting opportunities, church ministry, street ministry and more. Our main goal, however, is to teach you solid, practical life lessons that will equip you in the years you have ahead of you.
A: As Christians our spiritual heritage begins in Jerusalem. Because of that, this trip is one of the most important things we do here at MCA. So important, in fact, that we even named our program after the alliance we have formed with the King of Kings church in Jerusalem, Israel. There is something about being there, standing in the very garden where Jesus was laid in the tomb, that changes the way you view your spiritual life. If you allow him to, God will do an awesome work in your life as you live and breathe in his hometown.
A: We have recently bought and totally remodeled a 1930's house for the girl's living accommodations. It is a two story house with 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a brand new kitchen. It is very comfortable and homey and provides a wonderful atmosphere for you to get to know your roomates. A similar project is in the works for the boy's living accommodations, and until then, our gentlemen are taking residence in the Briarwood apartments here in Benton Harbor. The living spaces are furnished with beds, dressers, couches, tables and necessary appliances.
